I am a minimalist. I believe in quality over quantity. I believe that less is more. I believe that there is beauty in the simple. I had gotten up early one morning and I stumbled upon "minimalism photography" on facebook and decided that this is something I wanted to take part in. Today is Sunday the tenth of December. I am spending the morning taking ten photos that will form part of this exhibition. This exhibition is called "one to ten" and the fascinating thing to me that I noticed was that one ends with "ne" and ten ends with "ne" in reverse and the starting letters "t" and "o" form "to" which fits nicely in the middle of "one to ten". There are ten characters in the phrase "one to ten" and the distinct letters make up the word "note" which leads me to say, "numbers are the notes of nature". I wanted to create something different. I took some unusual photos and applied the magic of editing (this time in Snapseed) to create art from photography. An attempt to see my world differently and move away from the mundane. Link to high res versions of each photo are here . Shade Entrance Deep Silky Feels Blocks Wild High Close Firm
I am no stranger to long distance walking (between 5 km and 10 km). I woke up and decided I had the energy and I had never walked along to the end of Warren Road, heading West, which gives direct views of the Northern Range and Caroni plains and planes descending into Piarco airport. It is a narrow road, so be cautious, if you ever have to walk that road. It is agriculture and empty land on both sides for the first 1 km. My walk took me from Warren Road onto Ajodha Road and Munroe Road and then back to the Southern main road. These are some photos from that walk.
